Niall Buckley

Dr. Niall A. Buckley graduated from Lehigh University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, while also competing on the varsity track and field and cross-country teams. He then researched infectious diseases in the laboratory of Betsy C. Herold at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2011 to 2014. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2018 where he was a student doctor and steering committee member in the free, student-run Promise Clinic. During medical school, he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. As a neurosurgical resident at the University of Wisconsin Madison, he was awarded the medical student teaching award and published on system-based care of patients with traumatic brain injury. After residency, Dr. Buckley completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Complex Spine Surgery at the University of California - San Francisco. As a fellow, he presented both nationally and internationally as well as published on spinal surgery outcomes. Dr. Buckley is a board-eligible neurosurgeon with a focus on minimally invasive approaches to spinal pathology. He also specializes in complex spinal pathologies, myelopathy, spinal deformity, spinal trauma, and motion preserving spinal surgical techniques.
